नानकमत्ता एक ऐतिहासिक शहर है, जो देवहा जल धारा के किनारे बसा हुआ है। यह सिखों के महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थ स्थानों में से एक है। यहां एक गुरुद्वारा भी है जिसका नाम गुरुद्वारा नानक माता साहिब है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि सिखों के पहले गुरु गुरु नानक देव ने सन् 1515 में कैलाश पर्वत की यात्रा के दौरान नानकमत्ता का भी भ्रमण किया था। गुरुद्वारे का निर्माण सरयू नदी पर किया गया है और नानक सागर डेम पास में ही स्थित है।

Nanmakatta is a historic town, which is situated on the banks of river Devah. This is one of the important pilgrimage places of the Sikhs. There is also a gurdwara named Gurudwara Nanak Mata Sahib. It is believed that before the Sikhs, Guru Guru Nanak Dev had also visited Nanakmata during the visit of Kailash Mountain in 1515. The gurdwara has been built on the river Saryu and the Nanak Sagar Dame is located nearby.
